Not Such a Bad Day!

My feet were itching,
So I went hitching,
On the jolly motorway,
I did not think,
But my feet they stink,
And on the sliproad I did stay,
Car pulled up which raised a smile,
Took me nearly eighty mile,
Seemed a nice bloke,
Not too odd,
Kept preaching Jesus silly sod,
Eighty mile of godly crap,
Sat bored stupid,
Wet dog on me lap,
Here's me junction out I get,
Freezing Cold and soaking wet,
Stood there with my little sign,
Read graffitti some was mine,
Stand there for an hour or two,
I call it 'hitchers deja vu'
Van pulls up so I jump in,
To an ancient hippy with a friendly grin,
'Best skin up' he says to me,
With his nice fresh skunk sensi,
Took me right up to my door,
Floating just above the floor,
Now I'm home and warm 'n' dry,
Got no t-bags nevermind,
Felt quite stoned went straight to bed,
Just one thought inside my head,
CHEERS FOR THE LIFT MATE!
