Lisa: Oh god, here we go....the sweetener argument. Well, let me tell you what I think about the whole thing... I would like to be fairly healthy, but I don't like to eat or drink stuff that tastes like crap. I think people feel better when they make a conscious effort to cut out the unhealthy or fattening stuff. I know people who feel extremely guilty and quite depressed if they eat unhealthy or sweet food....and most of these people are women...don't know if that's a common trend or not (I haven't got the statistics to back it up...) Personally I drink full fat milk and full sugar coke....I smoke, I don't go to the gym, I eat chocolate, I stay up late and I eat unheathy food sometimes...but I don't think I look any more unhealthy than the next person... (Maybe if we looked at my lungs though...)

Oh and this light beer thing makes me laugh too....even worse, alcohol free beer....Kaliber... What is the point of that?!? I have never understood it...In my opinion people should enjoy what they eat or drink, and if they don't want to become unhealthy they should lead active lives...it's that simple... The body needs sugar, it only becomes a problem when you don't do exercise or if you don't brush your teeth. The body also needs fat, not huge amounts, but it still needs some...god I've told people this before and they never listen... Diets are useless too...I can't understand them...cutting out unhealthy stuff is fine if you want to make a permanent change but what is the point in doing it for 2 months, losing weight, and then going back to the way you were and gaining weight or whatever all over again?

There is a strange culture of showing people that you are trying to be healthy for some reason too....There are people who drink diet shit when they are out with their friends or colleagues, who "sneak" full sugar stuff when they are on their own...crazy. Sweeteners alone won't give you the perfect body! You need to do a lot more than that....and if you're doing the right things you won't need sweeteners anyway...your body will burn up that sugar with that healthy active lifestyle you have... So why bother having drinks that taste crap just because you think it's going to stop you becoming unhealthy? It's all in the mind, and there isn't really any point after all...sweetener buyers, you're just falling victim to the persuasive media image....I bet you eat Tictacs too...."only 2 calories"....hmmmm I rest my case.
